Introduction

This 70-minute class focuses on variations using full undulations, sometimes referred to as Arabics, which use the whole spine. We start with warm-up drills and end with cool-down stretches.  

Topics we will cover include:

  • Full undulations over 2-count footwork (flat, ball)
    • in place, traveling forward, traveling backward, turning
  • Full undulations over 3-count footwork (flat, ball, flat)
    • in place, traveling forward, traveling backward, turning
  • Traveling to the side
  • Additional variations in foot work
  • Variations in in floor patterns
  • Layering shimmies over full undulations
